As a law student or a young attorney these are challenging times that may make you second guess your career. It is never easy to be in law school with the many challenges one face regardless of the economic climate. Law students have long hours of studying combined with the scary yet sometimes exciting career questions that one needs to answer. Being an Asian person trying to be successful in a legal world also brings unique challenges.
One of the great Massachusetts Bar is Associations is the Asian American Lawyers of Massachusetts (AALAM). AALAM has a vast membership of Asian lawyers that work in all areas of legal employment. It is a very affordable bar association that members really try to help one another.
Last night I attended the 4th annual speed mentoring event. The event was held at the prudential center at one of Boston’s premiere law firms. Ropes and Gray was very supportive in lending a beautiful conference area to the association. The event itself was highly attended by law students, lawyers, and judges. It was truly an incredible experience for anyone that attended.
If you are an Asian attorney or law student is Massachusetts, you should know that AALAM is a great organization and can help you connect with others in the legal community.
