If you are convicted of certain crimes in Massachusetts, you are required to provide a DNA sample.  Here is a list of some of the crimes that require you to submit a DNA sample:

  10. Assault with intent to rob or murder
  11. Assault in dwelling house with a dangerous weapon
  12. Use of firearm in commission of a felony
  13. Home invasion
  14. Rape
  15. Rape of child by force
  16. Rape of a child under 16
  17. Assault with intent to commit rape
  18. Assault to commit rape on child under 16
  19. Armed burglary
  20. Unarmed burglary
  21. Enticing a person for prostitution
  22. Drugging a person for sexual intercourse
  23. Inducing a minor into prostitution
  24. Deriving support from a prostitute who is a minor
  25. Open and gross, lewdness
  26. Incestuous marriage or intercourse
  27. Dissemination or possession of obscene matter
  28. Posing a child in state of nudity or sexual conduct
  29. Dissemination of child in state of nudity or sexual conduct
  30. unnatural and lascivious acts
  31. Unnatural and lascivious acts with child under 16
  32. Engaging in sexual conduct for a fee
