Minor Purchasing Alcohol

This statute applies to anyone under the age of 21 attempting in purchasing alcohol.  Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 138, Section 34A prohibits any person under the age of 21 from purchasing alcohol.  The statute also prohibits anyone from attempting to purchase, inducing another to purchase, or altering an ID to purchase alcohol.

If convicted under this statute, your license will be suspended for 180 days.  Previously, under MA laws your license will only have been suspended for 90 days.
