In MA, if you are a junior operator there are many passenger restrictions. For the first 6 months, the junior operator may not have any passenger under the age of 18 in his car. The junior operator may have passengers under the age of 18 if:
- The junior operator has had his license for more than 6 months
- The passengers under the age of 18 are immediate family members
- The junior operator is accompanied by a license driver in the front seat that is over the age of 21
If the junior operator violates the MA passenger restriction, the junior operator license can be suspended.
- For a first offense, the junior operator’s license will be suspended for 30 days.
- For a second offense, the junior operator’s license will be suspended for 60 days.
- For third offense, the junior operator’s license will be suspended for 90 days.
