MA Mandatory License Suspension
The MA registry can suspend your license for many different reasons. Aside from the registry being able to suspend your license for drug orDUI conviction, there are many non-criminal situations. Here is a list an incomplete list of license suspensions.
- Three speeding tickets: the MA registry can suspend your license if you receive 3 speeding tickets in one year. Your license will be suspended for 30 days.
- Five Surchargable events: The MA registry can suspend your license for 5 surchargable events within 3 years. A surchargable event can either be a ticket or a car accident. You may be required to complete a remedial driving course.
- Seven Surchargable events: the MA registry can suspend your license for 7 surchargable events within 3 years. Your license will be suspended for 60 days and you may be required to complete a remedial driving course.
