MA Courts with Jurisdiction over Harassment Prevention Order

Massachusetts harassment prevention orders are governed by Mass General Laws chapter 258E.  All Massachusetts district courts and the Boston Municipal Court can order a harassment prevention order.  The Massachusetts juvenile court can order a harassment prevention order if both parties are under the age of 17.  All Massachusetts superior courts have jurisdiction over harassment prevention orders.

MA Harassment Prevention Order requirements:

Massachusetts harassment orders can be issued to prevent the plaintiff from harassment.  The standard to issue a MA harassment order is that there needs to be substantial likelihood of immediate danger of harassment.
