MA Sex Offender Registration Procedure
If you are required to register as a sex offender in Massachusetts, you are usually required to renew your registration yearly on your birthday. If you live in a shelter or are homeless, you must renew your registration every 90 days. If you classified as a level two or level three sex offender you must appear at the police station to renew your registration. If you are classified as a sexually violent predator, you must appear at the police station every 90 days.
Generally once you are released from custody either from jail or any other institution, you have two days to register. You must fill out the forms that the Massachusetts sex offender registry board requires in its entirety.
If you want to move to another town or city within Massachusetts, you must fill out the proper sex offender registry forms to request a move. Ten days before you move, you must receive an approval from the sex offender registry board.
